Shift Type: Days, Monday to Friday, 7.30 am-4.00 pm

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at a leading EfW facility in Kidderminster. This role involves delivering a range of planned and reactive electrical testing and maintenance, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders on upgrades and installation projects within a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all electrical systems and apparatus are operated and maintained correctly.
  2. Test site electrical systems and apparatus according to required regulations.
  3. Manage and monitor maintenance contracts for specialist equipment.
  4. Develop and implement obsolescence plans for electrical equipment.
  5. Enhance cybersecurity measures and maintain software baselines and backups.
  6. Collaborate with Mechanical, Controls, and Instrument Engineers as required.
  7. Investigate and resolve faults across the facility, providing regular updates to management.
  8. Report all health, safety, and environmental concerns via the site reporting system.

Key Competencies:

  1. Minimum of a Higher National Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. At least five years of relevant experience post-qualification.
  3. Broad experience with process electrical systems, including high and low voltage.
  4. Expertise with electrical-driven actuators and motors.
  5. 18th Edition certified.
  6. Experience in the energy or waste sector is advantageous.
