We are seeking a professional HGV Driver to join our team, with either a class 2 or class 1 qualification to work within our family owned and run removals and storage company. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, customer skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service. Responsibilities
- Operate lorries and other commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
- Loading and unloading furniture and effects
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Secure loads properly to prevent movement during transit
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Adhere to all legal requirements related to driving hours, tachograph regulations, and road safety standards
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues
Qualifications
- Valid HGV licence with relevant categories
- Domestic removals experience is highly desirable
- Good knowledge of UK roads, routes, and traffic regulations
