Hours of Work: 32 hours a week
As a Team Leader at Hobbycraft, you will assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store. You will also be responsible for running the store in the Store Manager’s absence, delivering excellent customer service that encourages repeat visits and drives incremental sales. Delivering a truly customer-focused experience is key to our continued success. As an integral member of the management team, you will demonstrate our brand values in every aspect of your work.

Areas of Responsibility:
- Teamwork and Leadership: Lead by example, coaching colleagues to drive outstanding customer service and commercial awareness.
- Brand Ambassador: Be passionate about the Hobbycraft brand, embracing change positively.
- Planner: Ensure the store is set for a successful day of trade.
- Relationship Builder: Treat everyone fairly and with dignity, adhering to our Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging policy.
- Merchandiser: Co-ordinate deliveries; manual handling is essential.
- Click and Collect: Co-ordinate the Click and Collect process.
- Policy Expert: Comply with Company policies and Health and Safety Regulations.
- Communicator: Deliver clear communications, such as key messages and daily targets.
- Workshops: Host various workshops in-store.
- Store Management: Support the Store Manager in day-to-day management and be responsible for the store in their absence.
- Recruitment: Assist the Store Manager in building a high performing team.
- Colleague Support: Provide support and coaching for colleagues.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience:
- Proven track record in a retail or similar environment.
- Duty Management experience is advantageous.
- Passionate about sales and driving profit.
- Keyholding, cash handling, and security awareness.
- Coaching colleagues and merchandising experience.
- Health and safety compliance.
- Awareness of store key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Effective time management.
Skills:

This role would suit a current Team Leader in a Retail or similar environment, or an experienced colleague looking to move onto the Management career path. The candidate should be confident and professional, able to support the management of a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
