About The Role

As a Team Leader for Hobbycraft you will be supporting the management team and helping to driving sales, alongside the development and delivery of excellent customer service.

  • Work with the store manager to drive sales and profitability
  • Drive commercial awareness amongst the store team
  • Overseeing operations including merchandising, goods in, warehouse operations and duty management responsibilities
  • Supporting and coaching our colleagues
  • Co-ordinating the workload of colleagues
  • Answering customer enquiries
  • Managing click and collect orders
  • Operating the till and accurately handling cash, credit/debit cards and gift cards transactions
  • Supporting with audits, health and safety trawls
  • Key holder with responsibility for opening and closing the store
  • Supporting with disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management processes
  • Duty manager in the absence of the Store Manager

About You

  • A minimum of 1 year’s previous retail experience is essential (managerial or supervisory roles will be advantageous)
  • Must be passionate about sales and driving profit within the store
  • Be commercially aware in a retail environment
  • Have an interest in craft/hobbies and want to inspire others
  • Ability to learn and share expertise of products to fit customer’s needs
  • High levels of enthusiasm, drive and motivation
  • Confident and clear communication skills
  • Must be flexible in order to accommodate the business trading needs
