This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours. Our core business hours are Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm with a flexible approach to start and finish times. Our hybrid working model is 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.
Role Summary
This is a key role central to the success of our Ecommerce channel; you will be responsible for the new product pipeline, ensuring that all products have a full set of content and are published on the website in line with the trading plan. You will have a passion for great content, both visual and written, and have excellent organisational, planning and Excel skills. Your day-to-day process will centre around the coordination of all product content and you will report on progress.
Responsibilities
- Taking full ownership of the Ecommerce new products pipeline to ensure that all new products are live on the website in line with the trading plan.
- Scheduling activity for the in-house photography studio in line with the product pipeline plan to produce product images as well as additional photography requests.
- Sourcing images from external suppliers and uploading via the Content Management System.
- Schedule the product description copywriting for the copywriting resource and write product descriptions where required, in line with brand guidelines.
- Collating product samples where required from either the external supplier or via Buying team.
- Drive customer satisfaction and conversion by ensuring that all products have a comprehensive set of images to demonstrate the product features and showcase the product in a lifestyle or project context.
- Ensure all product content is consistent and adheres to brand guidelines, ensuring that the guidelines are reviewed and refreshed where required.
- Moderating user-generated content on the Bazaarvoice platform, growing coverage across product pages to enhance the user journey.
- Field queries from the Customer Services team relating to product content queries and update as appropriate.
- Report on product pipeline progress and new product status, identifying risks.
- Report on product content performance via defined metrics and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Monitor best in class product content on other retail websites and identify opportunities for product content enrichment.
- Work collaboratively within the Digital Trading Team and across the business, building strong working relationships.
Specific skills
- 1-2 years experience in an ecommerce, retail or administration role.
- Confident user of Excel for planning and analysis.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills with strong focus on processes.
- A passion for great online written and visual product content to delight customers and drive performance.
- Basic understanding of SEO and the role it plays within the product catalogue and on-site content.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience of working with Content Management Systems (experience with Salesforce is advantageous).
- Proactive, looking to measure and analyse performance and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- A strong team player and communicator; able to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment, managing workloads to meet tight deadlines.
