Job Details

  • Position: Ecommerce Product Content Executive - Hobbycraft Head Office, BH23 6HG
  • Salary: £25,000 dependent on experience
  • Benefits: Pension with 4% contribution, 25 days holiday (increasing annually), 25% store discount
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with flexible start and finish times
  • Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

Role Summary

This role is central to our Ecommerce success; managing the new product pipeline, ensuring content completeness and timely publication aligned with trading plans. You should have a passion for compelling visual and written content, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in Excel. Your daily tasks will involve coordinating product content and reporting on progress.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Ecommerce new products pipeline to ensure timely website updates
  • Coordinate photography schedules and source images from external suppliers
  • Write and schedule product descriptions in line with brand guidelines
  • Gather product samples from suppliers or buying teams
  • Enhance customer experience with comprehensive images and content
  • Maintain content consistency and update brand guidelines as needed
  • Moderate user-generated content on Bazaarvoice platform
  • Handle product content queries from Customer Services
  • Track and report on product pipeline and performance metrics
  • Benchmark against industry standards for content enrichment
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless content management

Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years in ecommerce, retail, or administrative roles
  • Proficient in Excel for planning and analysis
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Passion for quality online product content
  • Basic SEO understanding
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop skills advantageous
  • Proactive with a focus on performance optimization
  • Team player with effective communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently under pressure
  • Empathy for craft and hobbyist customers
