Do you love diving into data, spotting patterns, and discovering the “why” behind customer behaviour? Do dashboards, SQL queries, and customer journeys get your brain buzzing (in a good way)? And do you want your work to genuinely matter? If so… we’d love to meet you.
We’re looking for a Customer Insight Analyst to join our close-knit Insight team at our Head Office in Christchurch, Dorset… and yes, we’re as colourful, crafty, and creative as our customers.
Why this role is exciting: You’ll be joining one of the UK’s biggest arts and craft retailers, with a wonderfully loyal community of makers who shop across our stores, website, app, and even our TV shopping channel. It’s a big, vibrant customer base and we want to understand them even better.
What you’ll be doing:
- Using SQL (BigQuery), Looker dashboards, our Google Cloud environment, and Bloomreach Engagement CDP, you’ll turn raw data into insight that helps the business make smarter decisions.
- Pull apart customer behaviour across web, app, stores, and TV, and spot the juicy insights hiding within.
- Build dashboards in Looker that people actually use (and get excited about).
- Help teams understand what’s working, and what isn’t, through A/B testing and campaign analysis.
- Create clever customer segments that make our CRM communications and paid media campaigns more personalised and relevant, driving demonstrable uplifts in performance.
- Run deep dives that reveal things like “these people love bulk-buying yarn” or “this group only shops when new Stamping launches drop”.
- Turn complex analysis into simple, friendly insights that help teams make great decisions.
- Spot early signs of customer churn and help shape retention ideas.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong SQL skills (BigQuery makes us smile).
- Experience with big datasets and cloud tools.
- Dashboard-building confidence, Looker fans especially welcome.
- A curious mind and a love of problem-solving.
- Some Python knowledge (or the desire to grow it).
- A knack for explaining complicated things simply.
- Attention to detail and a drive to get things right.
- Comfort working at pace, it’s never boring here.
- Familiarity with A/B testing principles and stats.
Bonus points for:
- Google Cloud experience
- GA4 know-how
- Working with Bloomreach Engagement or Jinja
- Understanding of data modelling
- Caring deeply about data quality and automation
