Hobby FC is an online community designed to bring football fans into the world of collecting. Our goal is to fill the football memorabilia space, creating a definitive place for collectors from all over the world to learn, collect, and grow their collections.
We are looking for a bright social media person to elevate the brand as we continue to build. This space is growing, and there's no real limit to what we can create content about! We want Hobby FC to be a hub for all types of fans - from the very experienced to the complete novice. Some popular topics include:
- Trading Cards
- Football Shirts
- Football Books, Magazines and Programmes
- Nostalgic Games
- TV & Media
- Travel Guides
Here are some content ideas we want to make:
- 'POV' style videos at football stadiums
- Food review videos outside stadiums
- Travelling / 'Vlog' content going to games
- Game capture of classic football games e.g. Adriano on PES 6
- Game capture of football game challenges e.g. goal recreations
- Street Interview content with fellow fans and collectors
Responsibilities:
- Source and work with creators to help us post more video content
- Create occasional video-first content for our social media channels
- Help to break down and clip key elements of long-form content
- Mainly focusing on growing our TikTok, Instagram & Twitter pages
- Edit long-form videos from the Founder as 'The Hobby FC Show' takes shape
- Expand our presence across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
- Engage with the football collecting community to discover needs and wants
- Research target audience and discover current trends to incorporate in the content
Requirements:
Just a love of football memorabilia and a desire to share it with the world. A strong command of the Adobe Creative Suite or other video editing software is ideal.
What will I get in return? This is a voluntary / unpaid position. Hobby FC is a new idea and will take time to make any real revenue. All improvements are bankrolled by the founder, who is happy to provide a reference for any future roles for writers, and will also share in any revenue made from ads or affiliates if and when that happens. I will be transparent about business and partnerships which come in, and should this role directly link toward income for the business, I will compensate this person properly for their involvement.
This role would best suit either: a) a working professional with a stable income in another area, who can write on the side, or b) a budding creator looking for experience in the industry to build their portfolio.
