We are seeking a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Bournemouth or Reading offices. Our Bournemouth office has a long-standing presence, building expertise and relationships locally and further afield. Our Reading office is in a thriving town experiencing sector growth, supporting major projects like Station Hill and fostering collaborations with local businesses. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial, residential, and mission-critical projects. You will support and deliver electrical designs across various project sizes, working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality client service and project profitability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the technical delivery of electrical design services for multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Developing initial strategic concepts ensuring compliance with standards and client needs.
  • Engaging with stakeholders, attending meetings, and translating project briefs within the team.
  • Monitoring project budgets, resources, and work progress.
  • Mentoring junior professionals, including apprentices and graduates.

About you

To succeed, you should have:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer with a record of delivering complex projects.
  • Experience with technical delivery processes and software such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux, and Relux.
  • Experience working with clients, contractors, and architects in a consultancy role.
  • Self-awareness, openness, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Experience supporting the development of others’ skills and confidence.
