Associate or Senior Associate Electrical Engineer – Bristol

About The Role

We have a brand‑new opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team based in our Bristol office.

You're expected to lead large‑scale, complex projects, managing stakeholders, monitoring and reporting metrics, motivating teams and looking for new ways to add value and secure work.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow strong client relationships.
  • Contribute to bid preparation.
  • Lead larger scale schemes and coordinate all disciplines, acting as the main client point of contact.
  • Take ownership and consistently deliver profitable schemes.
  • Represent Hoare Lea’s disciplines at project meetings.
  • Support and develop a high‑performing local team, including attending interview processes.
  • Delegate, manage and check work undertaken by others.
  • Monitor and report project expenditure, cost and resource requirements to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Ability to deal with difficult situations in a non‑adversarial manner.
  • Qualified and recognised by industry with Chartered status.
  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering and good understanding of other disciplines.
  • IT literate with a technical understanding of relevant IT packages.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills to meet timescales and deadlines.
  • Positive leadership, proactive support and motivation of team members.
  • Develop effective client and professional relationships for future business growth.
