About the role
We have a brand-new opportunity for a Principal Consultant to join our Digital Advisory team based in our London office. Since our first steps into consulting over a century and a half ago, we’ve learned a great deal about the world we live in, and we’re always happy to work with our clients and engage with the industry on how to create a socially conscious, productive, and aesthetically pleasing environment. In the last few years, the regulatory, societal, political and financial context has sat on somewhat shifting sands. We’ve seen our relationships with clients evolve into partnerships, working closely with them, as well as communities and investors, to address the challenges of this new era we’re living in and ensure their assets are well-positioned for the future. Advisory and Advocacy is a new consultancy offering, helping clients in all sectors ensure they’re getting the right advice at the right time to create a better built environment. It brings together diverse expertise which can be collectively harnessed or independently deployed to unravel some of the knottiest business challenges the built environment faces. Advisory and Advocacy solve emerging problems in the ever-evolving real estate sector, we bring together strategic leaders and subject matter experts in Digital Technology, Utilities and Energy Infrastructure, Sustainability and Societal Insights to solve problems collaboratively. Our Digital Advisory team bridges the gap between strategy and implementation. Our multidisciplinary experts help clients cut through the noise of technology change, turning ideas into digital strategies that drive measurable value. From digital systems integration to data-enabled operations, we ensure technology enhances performance, sustainability and user experience. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, supporting clients to ensure their digital strategies are successfully delivered through the construction process (RIBA Stage 3/4 onwards).
- Proven ability to translate digital building strategies into detailed design specifications, schedules and performance requirements
- Ability to review and challenge contractor technical design packages, drawings, specifications and schematics for alignment with agreed strategy
- Proven experience in Project Management and technology procurement with strong skills in client and contractor engagement and management
- Familiarity with: MSIs and Data Ontologies
- Nice-to-have: System integration

Experience working within the built environment sector. Already working within a sustainability or engineering consultancy, you will be looking for a new challenge within a practice at the very forefront of our field. You will bring expertise (with a degree in engineering/science, and experience in the field) and a passion for creating sustainable solutions. You will relish being part of a dynamic team within a progressive and well-respected firm. You will have good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working within a team environment.
