We have a brand-new opportunity for a Sustainability Consultant or Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our Sustainability team. Lead the delivery of environmental and wellbeing assessment from early design stages through to completion. This includes BREEAM, Home Quality Mark (BREEAM Residential), WELL Building Standard and Fitwel. Support training and development of junior staff covering the technical requirements and consultancy related to environmental and wellbeing assessment. Define, coordinate and complete design and post construction assessments for a range of building typologies Lead focused workshops on BREEAM/WELL/Fitwel with design teams including architects, structural engineers, Developers and Contractors Support and/or lead in house Technical Excellence communities in advancing the firms knowledge in this area to allow us to stat at the cutting edge of knowledge in our industry. Develop and maintain BREEAM/WELL/fitwel trackers trackers and supporting documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and other specialists to identify and secure appropriate credits. Review technical reports, drawings, specifications and other project information against requirements. Whilst the focus of this role is on environmental and wellbeing assessment certification, the role will require support in the delivery of wide sustainability services as appropriate. Sustainability and energy strategies for planning and design development Bespoke sustainability charters Environmental Impact assessments focusing on climate change Building performance modelling, e.g. Part L, operational energy (TM54/NABERS), overheating risk assessment Credit specific reporting for environmental / wellbeing assessment e.g. As well as project-related work, you would have the opportunity to engage directly with industry, undertaking research and development studies, and authoring industry guidance. You are likely to have some knowledge and competence in a selection of the following fields. Experience and track record of delivering environmental and wellbeing assessments with a focus on BREEAM/WELL/HQM/fitwel. # A good understanding of UK building design, construction processes and sustainability legislation. # Strong attention to detail, commitment to producing high quality outputs and proactive/collaborative approach to problem solving. Planning documentation such as energy and sustainability strategies # Energy modelling and assessment (e.g. Experience working within the built environment sector. Already working within a sustainability or engineering consultancy, you will be looking for a new challenge within a practice at the very forefront of our field. You will bring expertise (with a degree in engineering / science, and experience in the field) and a passion for creating sustainable solutions. You will have good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working within a team environment. Like us, you will be serious about sustainability.
