We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Data Centre and Mission Critical team. Data centres are increasingly important to the economy, with the technology that drives them changing at a blisteringly fast rate, and our Mission Critical team assists clients in navigating the evolving requirements of this sector.
Our experience covers everything in the Data Centre & Mission Critical sector - from complex live plant upgrades, close control, data halls, financial-sector trading floor environments, critical engineering, and due diligence reviews of existing facilities. You will get to work on projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Our teams have a wealth of experience and offer a positive, supportive and flexible culture.
Working alongside the Project Leader, you will be facing clients, responding to our clients' needs, developing designs and producing reports, specifications and guidance or overseeing testing and commissioning activities. We work closely as a team to ensure we achieve the best results and deliver a consistent, high-quality service for our clients.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery of the electrical design services for data centre and mission-critical projects.
- Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
- You will be in a client-facing role, attending project meetings and disseminating the brief to the project team.
- Work with the team leader to help monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered.
- Mentor and support our 'next gen' professionals, including apprentices and graduates.
- Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer or closely related role, with a track record delivering on Mission Critical and Data Centre projects.
- Experience with modern technical delivery processes and use of relevant software/tools such as Revit, BIM, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux.
- Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors/architects in a design-oriented / consultant role.
