We have a brand-new opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our team based in our Cardiff office and work as part of the largest independent consulting engineering firm of its kind. Joining at an exciting period in the Hoare Lea Cardiff journey, in our new City Centre Office.

You will join a talented, dynamic, and diverse team of designers, engineers, and technical specialists with a unique working culture. Our team is large enough to work on large national and international schemes yet agile enough to allow significant talent growth and career progression.

As an Engineer, you will be responsible for the design delivery of significant and complex engineering projects. You will liaise with other team members across the project team and take ownership of project tasks. Provide detailed, coordinated and cost-efficient electrical design advice to our varied client list. Design electrical engineering systems at the highest level using the latest software design packages. Take responsibility for solid technical delivery in your work either alone or as part of a team. Attend DTMs/client meetings and site inspections. Work with minimal supervision and you may be responsible for your own individual projects. In this role the ability to react efficiently to multiple tasks and tight deadlines is essential.

Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex projects. Experience of modern technical delivery processes, and use of relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux. Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors/architects in a design-oriented/consultant role.
