We have a brand-new opportunity for a Sustainability Consultant or Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our team, based in either Bristol, Plymouth, or Exeter. It's an exciting time to be part of our broader Sustainability discipline which has a presence in every Hoare Lea office across the country.
We provide a diverse sustainability consultancy service promoting sustainable development for a range of projects, across all sectors. - Support senior team members on large scale projects and take ownership of energy workstreams.
- Support or lead workshops with Clients and design teams and communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
- Support the training of junior members of the team e.g. in workstream delivery, consultancy and project planning.
- Building performance simulation – e.g. Building Regulations Compliance, i.e. Appraisals for environmental assessments such as BREEAM.
- Support the development of energy and sustainability strategies with our clients to lead sustainability innovation on new and existing developments.
- Supporting the drive towards realising net zero whole life carbon in our projects.
- Engage directly with industry, undertaking research and development studies, and authoring industry guidance.
You are likely to have some knowledge and competence in a selection of the following fields:
- Building performance modelling
- Building Regulations Part L
- NABERS UK Design for Performance
- In use energy assessment e.g. Energy strategies
- Net Zero carbon appraisals
- Advanced energy performance modelling competencies, i.e. Sustainability strategy development
- Environmental or wellbeing assessment
- Environmental Impact Assessment
- CRREM analysis
- CIBSE Low Carbon Energy Assessor
- Experience working within the built environment sector.
Already working within a sustainability or engineering consultancy, you will be looking for a new challenge within a practice at the very forefront of our field. You will bring expertise (with a degree in engineering/science, and experience in the field) and a passion for creating sustainable solutions. You will have good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working within a team environment. Like us, you will be serious about sustainability.
