About the role:

We are looking for someone to work as part of our project finance team. This is a pivotal role, a key member of the project team to facilitate and promote the importance of quality project data along with ensuring our client requirements are met for billing purposes. This role will work closely with Project Directors and Project Leads.

Key duties include:

  • Set up new projects using our internal reporting and accounting systems.
  • Assist the engineers in the maintenance of their projects using our internal systems.
  • Provide assistance with preparing both internal and external invoices and issue to agreed recipients.
  • Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records of all correspondence for projects, adhering to Hoare Lea’s internal IMS procedures.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Project Leaders, ensuring that all required information is received in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with other members of the finance team, ensuring that everyone is aware of the status of projects.
  • Maintain data on clients' finance portal systems to obtain purchase orders / upload invoices, liaise with the credit control team, flag any issues to the managers.
  • Assist the Manager maintain high levels of data quality, supporting on updating any data inconsistencies identified.
  • Ad-hoc project work as required by the business.

  • You’ll be IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Good attention to detail and able to work through a task in a methodical way.
