The Role
As a graduate engineer, your day-to-day tasks will vary, as we\’ll expose you to all aspects of our work so you can discover what suits you.
You could be:
Working on live projects from day one
In a variety of sectors from healthcare to hotels
As part of one of our specialist areas of expertise, you\’ll provide detailed, coordinated and cost-efficient public health design advice to our varied client list
Tailoring a comprehensive service of specifications, calculations and reports
Producing designs for above and below ground drainage systems and hot and cold-water services to standard, budget and deadline
Working across all projects and sectors, including education, healthcare, retail, residential and commercial
Encouraged to work in our Public Health team specialising in Public Health (MEP) Engineering Design
Collaborating with Mechanical/Electrical teams and specialists such as Acoustics, Lighting, Sustainability, Utility Infrastructure or Fire Engineering
Using the latest computer modelling software CAD and Revit
Undertaking site surveys and researching ground-breaking technologies
Engaging in continuous CPD and learning opportunities
Learning how we work and growing with the team
Developing as a Graduate Engineer in Public Health, improving skills in CAD and Revit
Producing calculations, drawings, reports, specifications, attending meetings and visiting construction sites
Communicating with project teams, clients or end users, and attending collaborative meetings
You will receive a dedicated mentor and supervisor and you will receive the best training to support you through your development with us.
About you
To be successful in this role you\’ll need:
An expected or achieved 2.1 or above IMechE or CIBSE accredited degree or equivalent qualification in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or similar
A master\’s or other relevant post graduate qualification is an advantage
Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is an advantage
An understanding of CAD or similar modelling software is an advantage
Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
Ability to work in a team environment and independently
A friendly, ambitious and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach
