The Role
2026 Graduate Mechanical Engineer – Bournemouth. As a graduate engineer, your day-to-day tasks will vary as you are exposed to all aspects of our work to discover what suits you. You may:
- Work on live projects from day one and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Operate in sectors from healthcare to hotels
- Produce detailed designs and drawings
- Use CAD and Revit modelling software
- Undertake site surveys
- Research and evaluate new technologies
- Engage in continuous CPD and learning opportunities
- Contribute to mechanical design for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Control Systems
- Produce designs for above- and below-ground drainage and hot and cold-water services to meet standard, budget and deadlines
Communication is integral across these activities as we liaise with project teams, clients, end users, and attend collaborative meetings. You will receive a dedicated mentor and supervisor and will access comprehensive training to support your development with us.
What We Are Looking For
- An expected or achieved 2.1 or above IMechE or CIBSE accredited degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- A master\’s or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage
- Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is an advantage
- Understanding of CAD or similar modelling software is an advantage
- Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- A friendly, ambitious and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach
