You\’ll work on live projects from day one and develop detailed designs, drawings, smoke and temperature calculations, CFD simulations, fire dynamics and structural assessments, and produce fire strategy reports., Work on live projects from day one (healthcare, hotels, etc.).
- Produce detailed designs and drawings using CAD and Revit.
- Undertake site surveys and research innovative technologies.
- Perform smoke and temperature calculations, smoke and evacuation modelling (CFD), detailed fire dynamics and structural assessments.
- Analyse potential fire scenarios, develop advice and recommendations for life-safety systems.
- Assist in the production of fire strategy reports.
- Liaise regularly with project teams, clients and statutory authorities.
- Benefit from a dedicated mentor and supervisor and comprehensive training.
Targeted or achieved 2.2 or above in an Engineering Council-accredited degree (Fire Safety Engineering, Building Services, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Maths, Physics). Masters or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Ideally a grade B or above in A-Level Maths or a science-related subject.
- Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is an advantage.
- Understanding of CFD or similar modelling software is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A friendly, ambitious, confident individual with flexibility and resilience.
