The Mechanical Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field operations related to mechanical construction scopes on assigned projects. This role leads mechanical crews and subcontractors, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards. The Superintendent serves as the primary on-site leader for mechanical work, coordinating with the senior superintendent, project management, other trades, inspectors, and clients to successfully deliver projects from start through completion. In this role you may be required to travel up to 100% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate mechanical foremen, tradespeople, and subcontractors on job sites
- Assign daily work activities and manpower to meet project schedules and productivity goals
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork in the field
- Project Execution
- Plan, sequence, and execute mechanical work in coordination with the overall project schedule
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accurate installation
- Identify and resolve constructability and coordination issues in the field
- Monitor progress and adjust manpower and resources as needed to maintain schedule
- Safety & Compliance
- Enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety plans
- Conduct jobsite safety meetings, inspections, and audits
- Ensure all mechanical work complies with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
