The Role
Working as part of the Kitchen Team, this position requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness. The Chef de Partie plays a vital role in assisting in the daily operations managing their own section of the kitchen and providing a positive dining experience for our guests.
Role Specification
- Assisting with the daily operations of the kitchen
- Assisting the Head Chef in liaising regularly with all suppliers
- Assisting with the ordering and ensure that sufficient stock is maintained
- Ensuring all food served in the restaurant is at the standard required
- Ensuring all related food hygiene regulations are followed by yourself and the kitchen team
- Promoting and maintaining a high level of hygiene in the kitchen using cleaning schedules
- Ensuring efficient delegation of kitchen duties between kitchen team
- Maintaining a positive professional atmosphere throughout the kitchen area; lead by example and assisting where help is needed
- Helping to train, supervise and motivate the kitchen team
Personal Specification
- Have previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Hold a Level 2 Food Safety certificate
- Have a good understanding of food hygiene and quality standards
- Have the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Have an excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and be able to use all relevant guidelines
- Have experience with large volume covers
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Have Food Safety Training
Additional Information
- 45 hours per week
- 5 days out of 7 per week
- Typical shift patterns: 08:00 – 17:30 and 13:30 – 23:00
- Salary: £32,361.84 per annum
- Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business
