The Role

At Hoar Cross Hall, we pride ourselves on providing incredible service and a memorable experience for every single guest. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Bar Manager to join our award-winning team and contribute to our continued success. As the Assistant Bars Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Bars Manager in the day-to-day operations of our bars. You will ensure that our guests receive outstanding service, maintain the highest quality standards, and help create a positive work environment for our team. Your leadership skills and passion for the hospitality industry will be crucial in maintaining our reputation and achieving our business goals.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Bars Manager in managing daily bar operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service by supervising the bar staff, addressing customer complaints, and stepping in to assist during busy periods.
  • Monitoring and managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and reducing wastage to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Assisting in training, mentoring, and developing bar staff.

Personal Specification

Essentials

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the bar or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of operations, including cocktail making, beer, and wine service.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Previous experience with large volume covers.
  • Previous Food Safety Training.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.

Additional Information

  • Full-time contract.
  • Working 5 out of 7 days a week / 40hrs.
  • Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business such as working evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
  • Hold the relevant Right to Work in the UK, not requiring future sponsorship.
