As a High Voltage Electrical Project Engineer at H&MV Engineering, you will leverage your electrical engineering expertise to plan, execute, and manage high voltage electrical projects. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the successful completion of projects within scope, budget, and safety standards. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your electrical engineering knowledge to deliver reliable and efficient solutions for our clients. This is a site based role.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the design/engineering team & project manager to deliver the project objectives, scope, and electrical requirements ahead of clients expectations, maintaining H&MVs excellent reputation in delivering top class HV projects.
- Taking the construction issue designs through the construction phase and feeding back lessons learned to the design team weekly.
- Partake in weekly design meetings and construction meetings.
- Partake in subcontractor meetings & site interface – understand their scope and manage their efficiency on site.
- Manage the material approval requests and ensure construction is as per the approved materials.
- Take over the technical submittals from the lead engineer at the construction phase.
- Attend & coordinate FATs with the Project Manager.
- Daily construction site walks to monitor progress, address any subcontractor issues and ensure safety compliance.
- Review the installation against the design specifications & construction issue design pack.
- Raise all QA/QC observations on Procore (or ACC) to track site issues and ensure issues get closed out.
- Set up the project ITPs and ensure they are completed as the project progresses.
- Set up the MS Teams page for the project and upload weekly progress photos.
- Coordinate the procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and services needed for HV projects.
- Evaluate supplier proposals.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Min 1 years’ of experience in delivering electrical engineering projects.
- Proficiency in electrical design software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of high voltage electrical equipment and systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is advantageous.
