For this project, H&MV require an experienced Construction Logistics Manager.

The chosen individual will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe flow of materials, equipment, and personnel across the site.

This includes managing complex delivery schedules, coordinating with haulers and suppliers, and overseeing site-wide logistics operations.

The role demands a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can lead logistics planning and execution across heavy civils, electrical infrastructure, and modular construction elements.

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining logistics systems that support the delivery of major components, site services, and subcontractor activities, while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the site-wide logistics strategy, including delivery coordination, traffic management, and access control.
  • Oversee the delivery and handling of major components including BESS units, transformers, precast elements, structural steel, and modular buildings.
  • Coordinate with international and domestic haulers to manage shipping schedules and customs requirements.
  • Oversee the delivery of welfare facilities, utilities, and temporary infrastructure.
  • Support heavy civils operations by ensuring timely delivery of bulk materials, concrete, and drainage components.
  • Implement and monitor the Delivery Management System (DMS) to ensure accurate scheduling and tracking.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Task Safety Plans are in place and communicated.
  • Monitor logistics performance and report progress against key milestones and KPIs.
  • Significant experience in logistics management on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction site operations, heavy civils, and modular delivery coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage complex delivery schedules and liaise with international and UK-based haulers.
  • Health & Safety focused with a methodical and process-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in logistics planning tools and IT systems including delivery management platforms.
  • Experience working with main contractors or large subcontractors in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
