About the Role:
We’re looking for an Experienced Regional Quality Control Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for helping to facilitate sage working practices across H&MV sites. You'll work closely with teams, clients, and key stakeholders to ensure safety as a priority on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive collaboration between their Quality Control Supervisors and site teams.
- Keep Regional Operations manager up to date on Quality concerns if present.
- Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to standards, regulations, contracts, specific specifications and QMS procedures.
- Ensure operations are in line with ISO 9001 standards as maintained by our compliance dept.
- Advancing quality achievement and performance improvement throughout all projects.
- Managing the development and implementation of H&MV’s:
- Planning duties within the Quality Control Supervisors/Engineers staff and related work schedules.
- Identifying and developing QA/QC personnel certification requirements and continuing education/training needs.
- Providing leadership, mentorship, and direction for all Quality Control personnel, and project teams.
- Understanding all Client and DNO/TSO quality systems, specifications and handover packs requirements.
- Ensure all members of the project team understand their role and responsibilities and are fulfilling them to the best of their abilities.
- Ensuring H&MV ITP’s are priced into all sub-contractor tenders with our quantity Surveyors.
- Reviewing all civil and electrical ITP’s set up and approving them for construction.
- Checking H&MV’s ITP’s are set up reviewed and approved prior to works and isn’t modified thereafter without senior management approval.
- Ensuring the ITP is completed as the works progresses onsite in line with our ITP procedure document here.
- Ensuring the ITP trackers are being used on all projects and is kept up to date.
- Ensuring construction Kick off meetings are held with all sub-contractors and external designers.
- Carrying out Root Cause Analysis Reports for major defects/Quality issues.
- Checking ITP documentation is formatted and completed to a high standard.
- Implementing H&MV Inspection and Test plan procedure on all active projects for both Civil and Electrical disciplines.
- Identify and develop solutions to correct inspection function deficiencies.
- Manage site quality through their tram of QC Personnel
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective and preventative actions as required.
- Carrying out the Civil/Electrical Site/ITP’s Audits in My Hub
- Hiring and training of new quality personnel.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of QA/QC operations across all projects under their remit.
- Management of Document control team.
- Ensuing document reviews and technical submittals are managed in line which H&MV’s procedure and client expectations.
- Ensuring all projects in their respective region are covered by the document control team.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers/manufactures on quality related matters.
- Manage the commercial operation of the quality team and forecast future needs.
- Driving the inputting of lessons learned with their team of QC Personnel.
- Ensuring NCR’s are being logged on H&MV’s system.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Willing to travel to various sites in the region
- Proficient with IT including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
