About the Role
We’re looking for an Experienced Electrical Engineer to join our engineering department. You'll work closely with key stakeholders to manage all engineering and design for sites across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design/engineering team & project manager to deliver the project objectives, scope, and electrical requirements ahead of client’s expectations, maintaining H&MV's excellent reputation in delivering top class HV projects.
- Take construction issue designs through the construction phase and provide feedback to the design team weekly.
- Partake in weekly design meetings and construction meetings.
- Partake in subcontractor meetings & site interface – understand their scope and manage their efficiency on site.
- Manage the material approval requests and ensure construction is as per the approved materials.
- Take over the technical submittals from the lead engineer at the construction phase.
- Attend & coordinate FATs with the Project Manager.
- Conduct daily construction site walks to monitor progress, address any subcontractor issues and ensure safety compliance.
- Review the installation against the design specifications & construction issue design pack.
- Raise all QA/QC observations on Procore (or ACC) to track site issues and ensure issues get closed out.
- Set up the project ITPs and ensure they are completed as the project progresses.
- Set up the MS Teams page for the project and upload weekly progress photos.
- Coordinate the procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and services needed for HV projects.
- Evaluate supplier proposals.
Key Requirements
- Electrical Engineering Degree.
- Minimum 2 Years’ Experience in a similar role with HV contractor or utility.
- Working knowledge of design software to include ETAP, Eplan, AutoCAD, would be advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player who demonstrates a high level of initiative.
