About the Role

We’re looking for an Experienced Electrical Engineer to join our engineering department. You'll work closely with key stakeholders to manage all engineering and design for sites across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the design/engineering team and project manager to deliver project objectives, scope, and electrical requirements ahead of client expectations, maintaining H&MV’s excellent reputation in delivering top‑class HV projects.
  • Take the construction issue designs through the construction phase and feed back lessons learned to the design team.
  • Participate in weekly design meetings and construction meetings; manage subcontractor meetings and site interface – understand their scope and manage their efficiency on site.
  • Manage material approval requests and ensure construction is as per the approved materials.
  • Take over the technical submittals from the lead engineer at the construction phase.
  • Attend & coordinate FATs with the Project Manager.
  • Perform daily construction site walks to monitor progress, address any subcontractor issues, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Review installation against the design specifications and construction issue design package.
  • Raise all QA/QC observations on Procore (or ACC) to track site issues and ensure issues are closed.
  • Set up the project ITPs and ensure they are completed as the project progresses.
  • Set up the MS Teams page for the project and upload weekly progress photos.
  • Coordinate the procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and services needed for HV projects.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals.

Key Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering – must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role with an HV contractor or utility.
  • Working knowledge of design software including ETAP, Eplan, AutoCAD; would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a team‑player mindset.
  • High initiative and proactive attitude.
