You will be involved in the full corporate finance transaction process incorporating everything from lead generation and company analysis to the preparation of Information Memorandums and hands‑on involvement in the completion process. The Role
You will be part of a dynamic team advising mid‑market businesses and their owners and management considering a range of transactions including MBO’s, acquisitions, disposals and growth capital/debt funding predominantly in the £10m to £100m deal size range. Your focus will be on providing support to the team throughout the transaction process with a view to developing the skills to assume greater responsibility and eventually manage corporate finance transactions. This is a deadline‑driven environment with constantly changing priorities, and although there is no defined set of tasks, you will have specific involvement in assisting in pitch presentations through preparation of company and market research, researching potential buyer lists and acquisition targets on behalf of our clients, providing insightful analysis of commercial and financial information, working with team in the preparation of business plans and financial models.
The Person
The successful candidate will be a chartered or certified accountant who is recently qualified and is looking for an energetic environment with the scope to display initiative and creativity. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and commercial awareness and have a high degree of competency with Excel and PowerPoint. Working as part of a small team with a strong and consistent deal flow, there will be the opportunity to gain significant corporate finance experience and rapid career progression.
