We are seeking a Recruitment Performance, Reporting and Planning Officer to support with the development of data processes, designed to enhance planning, reporting and delivery across all recruitment teams.

This is a data-focused role within recruitment, requiring advanced analytical skills and experience in reporting tools such as Power Bi, Excel and Power Apps. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality recruitment reports and data insights to support strategic decision-making.

Your expertise in data analysis and reporting will be essential as you work with recruitment teams to build their data capabilities. You'll work on multiple projects, maintain data accuracy, and provide insights which will be used to support senior leaders.

Using Power Platforms (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), advanced Excel functions and automation, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality recruitment reporting to a range of stakeholders.

You will be supporting with the team's three main priorities:

  • Providing UBS Recruitment Teams with team level data requests
  • Producing KPI metrics and supporting the Data Manager with business level data and analysis
  • Supporting the Senior Recruitment Analyst to produce meaningful forecasting insights

This will require:

  • A data professional with proven experience in a similar role, designing new reporting metrics, analysing data and producing reports at varying rates of complexity.
  • An understanding of the different recruitment processes across each team to make recommendations for data collation and reporting.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work to deadlines, maintaining and analysing recruitment data and ensuring accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to be proactive and work independently to ensure outputs are delivered as required.
  • Ability to manage ad-hoc data requests and regular reporting tasks related to UBS recruitment and related projects.

The role requires someone who is confident working with data, enjoys problem-solving, and can translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.

In this role you will be required to:

  • Provide direct support to the HO Recruitment Reporting & Planning Managers, including the implementation of new ways of collating, storing and analysing data.
  • Deliver complex reporting and analysis, accurately and to deadline.
  • Respond to stakeholders requests for data, understanding and clarifying their requirements and finding the most relevant data sources and formats.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance data quality.
  • Share knowledge to support recruitment teams in their use of data and the importance of maintaining accurate records.
  • Promote confidence in managing change and forecasting, while role-modelling Civil Service values and behaviours.

Essential Criteria

We are looking for:

  • Proven experience in data analysis, insight generation and reporting across varied datasets.
  • Experience of building and maintaining Power Bi dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Knowledge and experience of Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Strong written, analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to meet a brief.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables and data transformation tools.
  • Experience of producing, analysing and reporting on recruitment or HR data.
  • Ability to independently manage workload, prioritise effectively, and take ownership of delivery.
  • Strong decision-making skills to evaluate and respond to data and reporting requests.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.

Desirable Criteria

Experience in public sector recruitment.

Experience of recruitment processes.

Ability to extract data from an applicant tracking system (ATS).

Understanding of data governance, data quality principles, or mailbox/data management practices.

Experience in Power Platform (Power BI, Automate, and/or Apps).

Hybrid working at HMRC: HMRC is an office-based organisation, and colleagues are expected to spend 60% of their working time in the office. Where the role allows it, and where the home environment is suitable, colleagues can work from home for up to 2 days a week, averaged over a calendar month.
