About the Role
MK College Group have an exciting opportunity for a creative Music Lecturer to join the education team based at HMP Grendon on a part time basis. This position will provide an opportunity to develop a curriculum that complements the Therapeutic community at the prison.
Responsibilities
- Deliver music skills, technology and appreciation sessions to learners within the prison.
- Incorporate non‑accredited session mini‑qualifications focused on personal and social development.
- Engage with hard‑to‑reach learners, helping them build confidence, communication and soft skills.
- Use music as a tool for personal development and support learners to progress into further learning or rehabilitation pathways.
Qualifications
- Strong music background.
- Teaching or learner‑facilitation experience.
- Passion for using music as a tool for personal development.
- Part‑time availability: 20 hours per week, Monday‑Thursday afternoons only.
