Responsibilities
- Perform disassembly, inspection, assembly and testing of surface and subsea well control equipment
- Contribute to risk assessments and toolbox talks
- Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to Company standards
- Ensure timesheets and inspection reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner
- Operate forklifts, overhead gantry cranes and vertical lift platforms (following training)
- Carry out QC checks as and when required
- Perform all job functions in a safe manner
- Report and participate in investigation of all unsafe practices and/or behaviours
- Suggest improvements to working practices and HMH product lines
- Ensure adherence to all local waste management policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Hold a NVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
- Have a good working knowledge of fluid power systems
- Be experienced in high‑pressure testing (oil and water mediums)
- Experience working on BOPs, annulars, bonnets and H4 connectors preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical systems
- Have the ability to read schematic and layout drawings
- Have a working understanding of API 16A and/or API STD53 requirements
- Knowledge of subsea well control equipment, operation and overhaul, would be advantageous
- Be able to communicate effectively in English (written and oral)
