Job Responsibilities:
- Works with the sales and commercial teams to provide mechanical technical inputs for quotation.
- Receives dimensional reports following inspection of mechanical items and produces an engineering disposition, workscope and customer report.
- Assists in troubleshooting customer technical issues.
- Provide support to other internal teams with technical knowledge.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
- Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
- Solves complex technical problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Promote personal accountability for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) by adhering to the principles and guidelines outlined in HMH's HSSE governing policy.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of relevant experience).
- Experience: Ability to evidence strong technical knowledge.
- Skills and Abilities: Experienced professional with demonstratable understanding of their current area of specialization. Strong oral and written communications. Ability to establish relationships with internal and external subject matter experts on multiple cross‑career area teams for small to medium‑size projects. Demonstrated judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
