Job Responsibilities
- Works with the sales and commercial teams to provide mechanical technical inputs for quotation.
- Receives dimensional reports following inspection of mechanical items and produces an engineering disposition, workscope and customer report.
- Assists in troubleshooting customer technical issues.
- Provide support to other internal teams with technical knowledge.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
- Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
- Solves complex technical problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Promote personal accountability for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) by adhering to the principles and guidelines outlined in HMH's HSSE governing policy.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of relevant experience).
- Experience: Ability to evidence strong technical knowledge.
- Skills and Abilities: Experienced professional with demonstratable understanding of their current area of specialization.
- Strong oral and written communications.
- Ability to establish relationships with internal and external subject matter experts on multiple cross‑career area teams for small to medium‑size projects.
- Demonstrated judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
