Manufacturing Department Manager * Location: Hanslope Park, near Milton Keynes * Salary: Total Package £71, 426 (Salary £71,101, Recruitment and Retention Allowance of £325) * Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week. Flexible/compressed working patterns available. We are HMGCC, His Majesty's Government Communications Centre, the engineering specialists at the heart of the UK’s national security. If you’ve got the skills we’re looking for, you’ll find a place in our diverse team. Your role You’ll set the strategic direction of your department and ensure it runs smoothly, with every project completed on-time and to the highest of standards. With your extensive knowledge and skills, you’ll oversee the development and management of your team, driving standards, performance and innovation to encourage a mindset of continuous improvement. You’ll also manage risks for resources, quality, technology and environmental factors that affect service delivery. And, you’ll coach and mentor the wider Senior Team Leads to support your colleagues’ development. What you need You’ll have in-depth experience in an engineering manufacturing environment, with proven ability to lead, manage and motivate people. Never one to stand still, you’ll bring a mindset of continuous improvement. And your ability to think critically and take the initiative will help you to make well-informed decisions. Self-motivated and adaptable, you’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also be empathetic and able to work with people from all backgrounds.
