You'll use your experience of estates programmes, managing budgets and relationship management to ensure that estates activity is aligned to strategic goals and meets operational needs. You'll enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders from finance and procurement teams to project managers and operational leads, helping to turn challenges into smart, workable solutions, whether that is in clever space planning or supporting the design of new facilities.
You'll be confident developing and using data to inform decisions, track performance, and identify opportunities for improvement—helping to establish more efficient, evidence-based ways of working across the estates function. This is a varied, fast-paced role where your leadership will have a visible and lasting impact. You'll also be part of a supportive team that values development, with access to training and professional growth opportunities.
More about you
To apply for this role, you will already have:
- Proven experience in estates or facilities management including commercial contract oversight.
- Experience managing budgets, reporting cycles and financial governance processes.
- Stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Programme or project management experience within an estates or infrastructure environment.
It would be beneficial if you also have one of the following (although these are not essential):
- Experience of a large or complex estates environment – particularly within an engineering or technical facility.
- Experience of leading and developing others.

Putting your skills to use
Using your diverse range of skills within the Estates team, you will:
- Act as the estates lead for engagement with commercial and procurement teams, ensuring alignment between needs and contracted delivery.
- Collaborate with the Heads of Estates and finance to develop annual budgets, track expenditure and provide accurate, timely financial reporting.
- Develop estates dashboards and enable data-based decision making and assurance.
- Be responsible for the governance around space utilisation; balancing requirements and overseeing effective use of the site.
- Operate collaboratively with the Hard and Soft service managers to oversee estates contracts, maintaining standards and ensuring value for money.
- Contribute to the strategy and future direction of the team and the estate.
