We have an exciting opportunity for Resident Matron to join our dedicated Prep School boarding team and play a key role in supporting the wellbeing and pastoral care of our pupils.

Fixed Term Contract until 30 June 2027 | 34 hours per week | Term-time only (34 weeks per annum) | Accommodation provided all-year round | £16,385.46 per annum

Working closely with the Housemaster, Assistant Housemaster, Day Matron and Graduate Assistants, you will help create a safe, nurturing and welcoming “home away from home” for our boarders in Years 5 to 8. This is a rewarding residential position for someone with a caring nature, strong organisational and team-work skills and a genuine commitment to supporting young people. Flexibility is essential, as boarding life is varied and dynamic.

As Resident Matron, you will share responsibility for the day-to-day pastoral care, welfare and supervision of pupils within the boarding house. You will be present during duty hours, supporting house routines and ensuring pupils feel safe, supported and valued.

This role is a fixed-term position until 30 June 2027. The successful candidate will be required to live in the boarding house. The working hours are to be discussed at the interview, but will include evenings and weekends on a rotational basis.

Felsted is a leading day and boarding independent school based in a stunning village campus in North Essex that provides an exceptional holistic education to approximately 1100 boys and girls aged four to eighteen.
