We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths teacher and Head of Department who is passionate about their subject and understands the vital role that mathematical learning plays in developing pupils’ intellectual curiosity and capability. The successful candidate will bring a dynamic and engaging approach to teaching, delivering lessons that inspire analytical thinking and a genuine love of Maths. They will also demonstrate strong leadership potential, building on the existing strengths of the department and contributing to its continued success.

This is a full-time permanent position from the start of the autumn term 2026. A full job description and person specification can be found in the Information Pack. The closing date for applications is noon on Thursday 2nd April 2026, although early entries are highly encouraged. Early interviews may be facilitated. Interviews will take place at Edgbaston High School for Girls during the week commencing 13th April. Successful candidates will be invited to a formal interview. They will also be asked to deliver a prepared Maths lesson and will have an additional task to complete.

Applications, addressed to Mrs Clare Macro (Headmistress), should include a completed school application form and a covering letter of not more than 2 pages summarising your suitability for the role as outlined in the information pack.
