Job Description

To drive commercial performance through in-depth analysis of key retail KPIs, robust financial planning, and close collaboration with business teams to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Results – Driving Commercial Performance

  • Conduct comprehensive OMNI analysis of sales, conversion, traffic, pricing, discount rates, returns and other commercial KPIs
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to improve trading outcomes and support business growth.
  • Monitor and report on performance against budget, forecast, and historical benchmarks.
  • Support category and channel profitability assessments to guide product, pricing, and promotional decisions.
  • Manage and improve the budgeting and reforecasting process for commercial functions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Approach – Data-Led, Forward-Thinking Financial Control

  • Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reports that track commercial KPIs in real time.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, automation, and accessibility.
  • Support strategic initiatives with scenario modelling and financial impact analysis.
  • Use advanced Excel, BI tools and ERP systems to derive insights from complex data sets.
  • Lead on developing standard reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility into business performance.

Teamwork – Partnering for Success

  • Act as a trusted business partner to Buying, Merchandising, E-commerce, and Operations teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support commercial decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute financial expertise to cross-departmental projects including product launches, channel strategy, and promotional planning.
  • Present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
  • Support a culture of accountability and commercial ownership across teams through coaching and shared insights.

What you need to succeed :

  • Educational Background: Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Extensive experience in a commercial finance or controlling role, ideally within the retail or fashion industry.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for transforming data into actionable insights.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Excel, BI tools, and ERP systems; adept at navigating a fast-paced, data-rich environment.
  • Personal Attributes: Commercially curious, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative.
  • Industry Passion: A strong passion for fashion retail, with a solid understanding of retail KPIs and seasonality.

This is a Full-time Permanent Contract , based at our Head Office in London.
