We innovate and imagine, working on exciting new ideas that transform people’s lives across the country. This summer our work experience programme for students aged 16 to 18 in full time education or training is returning 4 August- 8 August 2025. In recent years we have worked on a range of big projects, making a real difference to the people of the UK. We have worked on delivering financial support during the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting Ukraine, and tackling the cost-of-living crisis. Over the course of the week, you will get to experience life at the heart of government: Meet Ministers Explore the work of HM Treasury Mentoring by Treasury Civil Servants Get involved with projects and interactive sessions Tours of our incredible buildings You can choose to be based at either our Darlington or London campus for the week with both virtual and in-person days. Applicants will be expected to undergo a baseline security check before the programme and will need access to a laptop or tablet. Applicants from all backgrounds, regardless of disability, gender, ethnicity and sexual orientation are welcomed. However, family members and close friends of HM Treasury employees are not eligible to apply, as the programme is aimed at those who do not already have connections to HM Treasury.
