Role Description
The Site Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This role oversees daily stone installation activities on construction sites, ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule, and to required quality standards. The Site Supervisor coordinates site teams and subcontractors, organizes materials and equipment, and liaises with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to manage progress and resolve site issues. Responsibilities include monitoring adherence to design specifications, enforcing health and safety procedures, conducting site inspections, and maintaining accurate records, reports, and site documentation. The role also involves supporting client communication on-site, reporting project status, and helping to identify improvements in methods and workflows.
Qualifications
- Experience supervising construction or installation work, ideally within stone, façade, or specialist subcontracting environments.
- Strong project coordination abilities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and on-site problem solving.
- Knowledge of construction drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards relevant to stone installation.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices on construction sites.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for managing site teams and collaborating with contractors, clients, and consultants.
- Proven ability to maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation using basic IT tools and site management systems.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions under time pressure, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in the London construction market and familiarity with local regulations is an advantage.
- Relevant vocational training or qualification in construction, civil engineering, or site management is preferred.
