HMRC’s ServiceNow Team are looking for an Integration Engineer for a day rate contract. HMRC is undergoing one of the largest digital transformations in the UK, and our ServiceNow Team sits at the heart of it. We’re modernising how 66,000+ colleagues access digital services, using the ServiceNow platform to drive automation, improve user experience, and deliver smarter, faster ways of working.
As part of our Chief Digital & Information Group (CDIO), you’ll help build and enhance enterprise‑wide ServiceNow capabilities across ITSM, HR, CSM, Security Operations and more. You’ll work with modern tools, collaborate with talented digital professionals, and contribute to meaningful change that impacts millions.

Requirements- Point‑to‑point integrations between ServiceNow and SaaS/SaaP platforms
- Design, build and maintain point‑to‑point integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub spokes, scripted REST APIs, or custom connectors.
- Configure and support inbound and outbound integration flows, including authentication models such as OAuth, Basic Auth, and mTLS (where applicable).
- Troubleshoot integration failures and data‑flow issues across development, modelling, test and pre‑production environments.
- Ensure integration solutions are secure, compliant and aligned with platform governance (including security roles, ACLs, and logging requirements).
- Work closely with Technical Architects and Product Owners to validate integration behaviour and perform end‑to‑end testing.
- Maintain accurate artefacts such as sequence diagrams, data maps and API specifications for operational support and knowledge.
