Deloitte's AI & Data Financial Services team is transforming the financial service industry by empowering clients to harness cutting‑edge AI solutions and data analysis and management programmes. As part of this team, practitioners design and develop innovative solutions that address real‑world challenges and unlock new opportunities for financial services organisations. You will collaborate with stakeholders, build robust pipelines, and continuously advance AI expertise to drive growth and innovation from strategy through to optimisation. This work supports diverse needs across banking, insurance, capital markets, and investment and wealth management, enabling clients to re‑engineer processes, enhance customer experience, manage risk, and gain a competitive edge through intelligent automation and data‑driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex data transformation, implementation, advisory and remediation projects, adding value to clients' end users by managing multi‑skilled teams from client teams and Deloitte.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and clients.
- Apply understanding of market changes and their impact on clients, improving internal capabilities.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand unique needs and develop tailored solutions for data and AI challenges.
- Build strong client relationships.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communications.
- Contribute to growth and development of Deloitte's data practice.
- Support business development through pre‑sales, bid preparation and client presentations.
- Participate fully within Deloitte to assist growth in the Capital Markets team, develop and guide junior grade colleagues, and support the firm's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in business analysis, implementation, delivery or consulting in the financial services industry with a focus on data or AI.
- Track record of leading and developing large teams on large‑scale data programmes within Capital Markets, delivering high performance and transformation for the client.
- Strong communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, bridging technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience in requirements gathering and solution shaping, translating technical requirements into business outcomes.
- Relationship‑building and collaboration across internal and client stakeholders.
- Specialised experience and understanding of AI and data products, processes and technologies, modern data architecture principles and data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/SAFe, etc.) and tooling (Jira, Confluence, Planview, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.) and data tools (Databricks, Power BI, Python, Snowflake, Hadoop, SQL, etc.).
- Bias for action, problem‑solving mindset and ability to operate independently.
- Experience coaching junior talent through challenges and providing constructive development points.
- Preferably experience contributing to consulting bids and developing industry relationships.
