The Valuations team within Deloitte's Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory practice provides expert advice on all aspects of valuing a diverse range of assets, including companies, divisions, intellectual property (such as brands), and other income-generating tangible and intangible assets, both in the UK and internationally. The team often works on prestige assignments that are reported in the media.
Projects transpire wherever there is a question of value, but can broadly be grouped as follows:
- M&A and investment analysis
- Reorganisation, turnaround and recapitalisation
- Litigation, expert determination and disputes
- Tax, financial and regulatory reporting, including fund valuations
- Intellectual property and intangible assets

As a Senior Manager or Assistant Director in our Valuations team, you will play an integral role in valuing a wide array of client assets, from individual businesses and business units to intellectual property (e.g. brands) and other income-generating tangible and intangible assets. Our team operates across all industries, engaging wherever clients require valuation advice, support or opinions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Developing and applying technical and commercial insights in a valuation context;
- Leading complex valuation engagements from inception to completion;
- Effectively managing, developing and coaching more junior team members;
- Applying financial analytical knowledge and experience to important client issues;
- Developing, reviewing and interpreting analysis and presenting clearly articulated, considered and insightful conclusions;
- Developing effective relationships with clients and internal Deloitte stakeholders;
- Actively pursuing new revenue and business development opportunities;
- Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture.
Connect to your skills and professional experience
- Extensive equity valuation experience in a professional advisory capacity (debt valuations a plus if in addition to equity valuations);
- Significant accounting knowledge under IFRS, FRS and US GAAP;
- ACA or international equivalent preferred;
- Consulting experience within a professional services environment (e.g. Big 4, top tier valuation team or a corporate development team);
- Significant experience of performing complex analyses as well as interpreting and presenting conclusions in a concise and clear manner;
- Project management and project organisation, including working across several projects simultaneously, effectively prioritising and delegating tasks;
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
