Join the growing Deloitte Managed Solutions – Government & Public Sector team supporting clients in running scalable, technology-enabled operations. Joining our team will allow you to expand your business development and bidding support skills due to our diverse and growing public sector client base.

You will participate in all aspects of the sales and proposition cycle, including product development, building collateral, bid support, sales channel development, and promotion. When an opportunity arises, you will work with the prospective client to gather and build their requirements and develop a potential design. For successful propositions, you will be involved in project delivery.

Deloitte Managed Solutions provides a variety of operational and technology solutions that can be integrated with other Deloitte teams. These include: day‑to‑day business processing operations, rapid response, remediation, tech enable/automate operations, and risk sensing and monitoring. We are looking for a Senior Consultant to identify sales opportunities and be involved in the day‑to‑day running of programmes (such as grant and fund administration) within the Government & Public Sector arena, and specifically Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Growth. This is a fast‑paced environment where working with a high level of accuracy and meeting strict deadlines is essential. Experience working in government and public sector is valuable, particularly in the grants and fund distribution space.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying managed service opportunities in the Government & Public Sector
  • Building strong relationships with Government & Public Sector clients, earning their absolute trust and confidence
  • Accountability for managing aspects of the end‑to‑end delivery process (including the delivery itself), governance and controls, and monitoring and reporting to the firm and our clients
  • Recommending changes where necessary with the client and managing the team to implement them
  • Ensuring consistent application and maintenance of required quality standards and government/regulatory compliance
  • Managing various stakeholder levels, including senior Government officials
  • Establishing an appropriate communication strategy with external customers, including the client, to ensure confidence

  • Proven project delivery experience
  • Previous experience of successful delivery in a Government/Public Sector arena
  • Previous experience working in housing, transport, energy, environmental, grants/funds delivery related roles
  • Previous experience of managing Government stakeholders and officials
  • A robust understanding of Government major programme delivery assurance activities, including business case review and approval
  • Previous experience leading and motivating teams to achieve results
  • A proven leader who can execute operational best practice to achieve service excellence
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Outstanding client relationship management skills, able to build strong foundations for client relationships
  • Demonstrated success in delivering service excellence metrics and meeting and exceeding targets
  • Strong literacy, numerical, and decision‑making skills
