Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects team provides market‑leading commercial and financial advice across the infrastructure, energy and public services sectors. The team advises Government on key policy initiatives, technology transformation and major programmes.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager level candidate with experience in the funding & financing of infrastructure. The role will combine typical project, commercial and corporate finance skills, advising government and private sector clients through all stages of the contracting life cycle of high‑profile and complex public sector programmes across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the end‑to‑end delivery of advisory projects providing commercial, financial and funding advice to public sector clients with a focus on the funding & financing of infrastructure schemes and major capital project procurements across infrastructure sectors.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on the major commercial and financial decisions.
  • Independently managing an engagement / major workstream in a large programme with routine senior oversight.
  • Being responsible for providing day‑to‑day oversight, leadership and support for more junior team members.
  • Managing diverse teams with an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contributions.
  • Supporting a range of non‑client facing activities including working closely with the Directors and Partners to deliver marketing and business development activity.
  • Preparation of research documents and proposals to support business development.
Essential Technical Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a commercial or finance‑focused role within government, a private sector bidder or another advisory firm working on one or more of: PPP, project finance, joint ventures, outsourcing, franchising or similar service contracts.
  • Motivated with real enthusiasm and understanding for the financial, commercial, and regulatory landscape within the infrastructure sector.
  • Understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of government infrastructure, technology and/or service contracts.
  • Experience of working with financial models.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Proven ability to lead project teams, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus in multi‑party environments.
Desirable Technical Skills and Experience
  • Extensive experience working on the funding & financing of capital projects across major infrastructure sectors (e.g., energy, defence, health, transport).
  • Experience of designing and building complex financial analysis.
  • A recognised financial, accountancy or procurement qualification (full or part‑qualified).
  • Experience in business case development and strategic report writing for major infrastructure projects.

You’ll be based in Edinburgh or Manchester with hybrid working. Depending on the requirements of your role, you will have the opportunity to work in your local office, virtual collaboration spaces, client sites and remotely, with face‑to‑face meetings arranged as needed.
