We are growing our Palantir capability within Technology and Transformation. If you hold or are eligible and willing to obtain a security clearance up to DV level, and want to grow your career in this sector, we are very keen to hear from you. As a practitioner, you will leverage your expertise in Palantir Foundry to bridge the gap between our customers' needs and technical solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to make data valuable for our Defence & Security clients, by designing, developing, and deploying robust solutions across the Palantir stack, turning data into accessible, trusted information assets, enabling the derivation of actionable insights through the Ontology.

Responsibilities

  • Apply Palantir Foundry’s suite of data engineering tools to create high‑quality, standardised data assets within the Foundry platform for downstream use cases, such as AI, operational applications, and reporting.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines and data models within Palantir Foundry, leveraging its capabilities for data ingestion, transformation, and storage, coordinating efforts with other developers and engineers.
  • Bring innovation and novel approaches to solve challenging data engineering problems within the Palantir ecosystem, optimising data flows and leveraging advanced Foundry features such as artifacts and compute modules.
  • Architect and implement Palantir Foundry solutions for scale and complexity, ensuring they provide maximum value across diverse teams and consumers, particularly through the development of the Foundry Ontology.
  • Develop logical and physical data modelling and governance strategy within Palantir Foundry, establishing standards across teams and ensuring data quality and lineage.
  • Develop user‑facing applications within the Palantir stack, leveraging either low‑code or pro‑code methods.

Experience & skills required

  • Ingesting, transforming, enriching, and integrating data from diverse sources into well‑structured information assets within Palantir Foundry.
  • Designing, building, and optimising ETL processes, data pipelines, and automated workflows for moving and processing data using Palantir Foundry tools.
  • Optimising data systems for performance, scalability, reliability, and monitoring within Palantir Foundry.
  • Data governance, including metadata management, data quality, and lineage tracking, specifically within Palantir Foundry's capabilities.
  • Building and maintaining military workflows in Palantir Gotham.

Additional qualifications

  • End‑to‑end development experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and workflow orchestration, with demonstrable experience in Palantir Foundry and Gotham.
  • Working with diverse data sources and types—batch, streaming, real‑time, and unstructured—and integrating them into Palantir Foundry.
  • Systems thinking and architectural design skills for building scalable, high‑performance data solutions within Palantir Foundry.
  • Data modelling, Ontology design, and database optimisation knowledge, with samples of logical/physical models that reflect proficiency within a Foundry context.
  • Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and tune Palantir Foundry pipelines for reliability and performance.
  • Coding experience that demonstrates modularity, reusability, and efficiency—across languages such as Python and TypeScript.
  • Understanding of full development lifecycle, SDLC concepts, version control, and CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
  • Knowledge of data security, governance, metadata management, and master data principles, with specific experience applying these across the Palantir stack.
  • Communication skills, ability to understand business requirements and translate to technical data solutions and Foundry implementations.

Location & Working Arrangements

You will be based in Bristol, London, or Manchester with hybrid working.
