Working as part of a team of industry specialists delivering consulting services across major banking clients, quickly building expertise in the field. Primarily focusing on the delivery of client work that meets and exceeds expectations, achieving engagement and programme objectives. Owning clear deliverables, leading small work streams, and developing strong long‑term client relationships to be a trusted business advisor in Retail & Commercial Banking. Participating fully within Deloitte to assist the growth of the Banking Operations & Domain Solutions team, develop and guide junior colleagues, and support the firm's inclusive culture.

Essentials

  • Delivery experience within a consulting firm or internal consulting experience at a retail or commercial bank, building society, or similar institution.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK banking industry and market, including macro trends, regulatory, economic, and disruptive technologies such as Generative AI, Automation, and Intelligent Process Optimisation.
  • Experience delivering small projects or leading work streams on transformations such as target operating model design, automation, migrations, re‑platforming, business integration and separation, process re‑engineering, or cost reduction.
  • Excellent project and programme management capabilities, including production of detailed project plans, key quality programme deliverables, and delivering within tight time constraints.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and people skills, able to liaise with stakeholders and team members of varying seniority.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capability to work on diverse teams.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for delivering market‑leading solutions that make a difference.

Desirable

  • An understanding of diverse client requirements and the need to work on projects across geographies and time zones.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Demonstrable potential to manage functional teams.
