Job description

As part of our Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory business, we are investing in the growth of our Ethics & Regulatory Compliance (ERC) team, which supports clients across anti‑bribery, data privacy, human rights and digital regulation.

Responsibilities

You will help clients across the full regulatory lifecycle:

  • Review and assess the current state of compliance and recommend practical enhancements.
  • Design and implement enterprise‑level governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
  • Perform regulatory risk assessments covering anti‑bribery & corruption, online safety, and broader compliance topics.
  • Design and document regulatory controls and prepare for independent audits (e.g., ISAE3000).
  • Establish specific content compliance and trust & safety processes.
  • Advise on regulatory domains such as whistleblowing, fraud and digital regulation.

You will also present to senior stakeholders, lead workstreams, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Governance, risk and controls experience: Designed, implemented, or enhanced enterprise‑level governance, risk and control frameworks in complex or regulated organisations.
  • Regulatory interpretation and application: Interpreted regulatory or compliance requirements and translated them into practical policies, processes or controls.
  • Regulatory domain experience: Worked on one or more domains such as anti‑bribery & corruption, whistleblowing, fraud, financial crime, privacy, consumer protection or digital regulation.
  • Practical compliance judgement: Identified compliance risks, assessed control effectiveness and provided pragmatic recommendations.
  • Workstream leadership: Led defined workstreams or small teams to deliver high‑quality outputs within scope, budget and timelines.
  • Delivery & Problem Solving: Produced high‑quality deliverables within agreed timescales with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication: Engaged effectively with business, legal, risk and compliance stakeholders and communicated complex issues clearly.
  • Adaptability & Approach: Assimilated complex regulatory issues across industries and pivoted quickly with emerging standards or client priorities.
  • Teamwork & Proactivity: Motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a global, diverse, agile team.
  • Flexibility: Open to travel to client sites and/or flexible working hours as required.

Desirable

  • Pragmatic advisory judgement: Developed proportionate, practical recommendations that balance regulatory expectations, operational constraints and commercial priorities.
  • Engagement Management: Experience or understanding of core engagement management processes including client take‑on, contracting and budgeting.
  • Regulatory risk assessment and control design: Performed regulatory risk assessments across one or more compliance domains and supported remediation.
  • Controls assurance and audit readiness: Designed and documented controls and supported organisations in preparing for independent assurance or audit.
  • Digital Acumen: Keen interest in digital technologies and their regulatory impact.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Working knowledge of digital regulations (e.g., EU Digital Services Act, EU AI Act, UK Online Safety Act) and broader corporate compliance areas.

Requirements

Five to eight years of professional experience, ideally in professional services or industry governance, risk and compliance roles, and a desire to help companies establish practical processes for regulatory compliance and build customer trust.
