Senior Manager, Data Lead, SAP Public Cloud, Technology and Transformation in London

Our SAP Public Cloud Centre of Excellence in Manchester sits at the heart of some of the most complex, high-profile SAP Public Cloud programmes in the UK market, from greenfield public sector transformations to large-scale recovery engagements. We are growing fast, which means this is a rare chance to help shape a practice from the ground up rather than join one that is already fully formed. Data is where SAP Public Cloud programmes quietly win or lose, and right now we don’t have anyone owning that end to end. As Data Lead, you would be building that capability from scratch, setting the approach the whole CoE uses rather than inheriting someone else’s method.

You will own the data migration approach across every engagement in the CoE, from how we assess data quality at the start, through to how we run cutover. That means building the standard methodology and toolset yourself, then leading data workstreams across several live programmes at once. You will also shape how we talk about data risk in bids, helping win the argument on effort and approach before a client has even signed. And because this function doesn’t exist yet in the CoE, you will have real say in how it’s built, who joins it, and how data governance gets handled for public sector clients who take that especially seriously.

• You can explain data risk to someone who’s never opened a data model in their life. You translate technical risk into plain language that a client programme board can actually act on.
• You would rather build something properly once than patch it repeatedly. You take real pride in a clean, repeatable methodology rather than one-off fixes.

Essentials:

• Deep, practical experience of SAP data migration approaches for S/4HANA Cloud, including Migration Cockpit and staging table methods.
• A track record owning data workstreams on full lifecycle SAP Public Cloud implementations.
• Comfort managing and developing a team, not just doing the migration work yourself.

Desirables:

• Public sector data experience, including data protection and information governance.
• Experience with SAP BTP data and integration tooling.
