Do you want to play a leading role in shaping how Security & Justice organisations adopt and scale Generative AI in complex, high-assurance environments?

Technology & Transformation: across the Security & Justice sector, organisations are under increasing pressure to adopt AI capabilities that improve operational effectiveness, enhance decision-making and unlock new service capabilities - while maintaining strict requirements around security, ethics, governance and public trust. Generative AI introduces significant opportunity, but also requires careful design, robust architecture and strong governance to realise value at scale. That is exactly what you will help our clients to achieve. You will lead the design of enterprise-grade GenAI solutions that are secure, scalable and responsible, guiding organisations from use case identification through to implementation and adoption in tightly regulated environments.

We are seeking to hire experienced GenAI Solution Design leaders within our AI Scaling and Transformation team, a centre of excellence in Deloitte's Engineering, AI & Data service offering. You will work with senior client stakeholders, Deloitte leadership and multidisciplinary teams to shape and deliver Generative AI solutions across Security & Justice organisations. This is a Senior Manager / Associate Director level role where you will provide design authority, lead solution architecture and oversee the delivery of complex AI programmes within secure environments.

As a GenAI Solution Design lead, you will play a critical role in defining and delivering AI-enabled transformation. In this role, you may be expected to:

  • Engage with senior client stakeholders to define GenAI strategies, identify high-value use cases and shape transformation roadmaps aligned to organisational priorities.
  • Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of Generative AI solutions, including application design, data integration, model selection, orchestration and deployment approaches.
  • Provide design authority and governance across AI programmes, ensuring solutions meet security, regulatory, ethical and responsible AI requirements.
  • Define scalable patterns and frameworks for GenAI adoption, including reuse of components, platform strategies and operating models.
  • Oversee delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technical design and implementation outcomes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, architects and business teams to ensure successful build, integration and operationalisation of GenAI solutions.
  • Lead and mentor delivery teams, fostering engineering excellence, innovation and consistent design standards across engagements.

We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate skills and experience in some of the following:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are advantageous.
  • Significant experience designing and leading delivery of complex AI, data or technology solutions within consulting, public sector or enterprise environments.
  • Proven track record of engaging senior stakeholders and leading the definition of solution architecture, strategy and delivery approaches.
  • Experience working in secure or highly regulated environments; candidates must be eligible and willing to obtain or hold security clearance for relevant engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programmes or multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment between business needs, architecture and delivery execution.
BUSINESS & AI PROFICIENCY
  • Deep understanding of Generative AI technologies, including large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, orchestration frameworks and evaluation techniques.
  • Strong experience in solution architecture and design for AI systems, including integration with enterprise platforms, APIs, data pipelines and user-facing applications.
  • Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI frameworks, model risk management and security considerations, particularly within regulated environments.
  • Experience defining scalable AI architectures on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP, leveraging cloud-native AI and data services.
  • Understanding of MLOps and GenAIOps principles, including lifecycle management, monitoring, performance optimisation and operationalisation at scale.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear strategic direction and influence senior decision-makers.
